EASTERN TOWNSHIPS Welcome to the Eastern Townships Section. |

|
|
The Eastern Townships is a historical region south-east of Montreal, lying between the Saint Lawrence River and the United States border. At the northern extension of the Appalachian Mountains, the region’s rugged beauty attracts many vacationing Montrealers . Replete with Bed and Breakfasts, quaint home style restaurants, antique stores and craft sales, the Eastern Townships region is an idyllic escape for a day trip departing from Montreal. The region’s several ski resorts, including Mount Orford, Bromont, Mount Sutton, and Owl's Head, are more off the beaten track and tend to be less crowded than those of the Laurentians, and are not considered inferior by any means. Be sure to explore the yearly Brome Fair on the shores of beautiful Lake Brome, an integral staple of the local culture in the Eastern Townships region.
